InterPLAY Learning Academy Curriculum:
InterPLAY Learning Academy uses a developmental relationship based model to support the child’s learning capacities as a whole as we believe that social and emotional development is the foundation to learning.
Our school supports the students developmental and learning capacities by delivering the highest caliber curriculum that is challenging the child’s learning abilities, while ensuring that the needs of the ‘whole child’ are met. We always assume competence to ensure the child is working at an academic level that will challenge their thinking and ensure the integration of new knowledge no matter what their ability. The key difference at InterPLAY is the way in which the curriculum is delivered, supported and assessed.
The curriculum for the Lower Division encompasses an eclectic selection of well-known and frequently used curricula for early childhood and special learners:

Integrated Services – Occupational and Speech Therapy Services
In conjunction with our academic curriculum, our executive director and clinical coordinator will establish a plan for occupational and speech therapy services for each student that will be integrated into their daily curriculum plan. Each student will be assessed on an individual basis and OT and SLP goals will be specifically created for them. Detailed plans will be discussed with each family to ensure that the student’s needs are met. From there, our therapists will work with them in a variety of ways to build on their strengths and empower them take on their challenges.
